Chocolate Call
We are excited to announce that the chocolate call APA qualifying meet held at
Lucasville, Ohio got thumbs up for the APA acceptance. The communication will
come in the APA meeting minutes posted in the News and Views. The chocolate
standard could be posted in time for make the next revision of the APA Standard
of Perfection but due to the time line of publication illustrations will not be included
in this revision. The next revision will come in a 3-5 year time frame.

Congratulations to all the chocolate call exhibitors at Lucasville who were there to
get the chocolates an accepted APA variety.

Disqualifications

Conspicuous white in outer plumage; lacing of feathers. (See General
Disqualifications and Cutting for Defects.)

Chocolate Drake and Duck
BILL: Chocolate brown preferred. Blackish to greenish brown with black
bean permissible.
EYES: Dark brown
SHANKS AND TOES: Chocolate with darker colored webbing. Orange
shading permitted in old drakes
PLUMAGE: Rich even chocolate brown throughout.
